About Me...
So, there are things I don’t want to live without… wood-fired pizza, fuzzy socks, get to know you questions, to name a few. But picture books, writing them and enjoying them with others, has been one of my deepest pleasures. In fact, to me, visiting a children’s bookstore is like feasting on a cone topped with scoops of light.
I remember reading Barnyard Dance to my daughter, and we slid and twirled and danced together right along with these adorable animals. Some books had us singing together. While others brought tears to my eyes as I cuddled with my favorite little ones. The bond and connection that these books bring have created some of my fondest moments. I have written over 50 picture books, and joy would trickle from my fingertips if my words would fill homes with beautiful memories.
I am a homeschool mom of three beautiful children, ages 11, 16, and 18. Jane, our youngest, is an artist. Haddon is a writer and loves all things Tolkien. And Hudson is an amazing communicator… great at persuasion. I’ve been married to my husband, Ryan, for 22 years and he is the one who encouraged me to pursue my dream of writing. He is my greatest fan and support, and I wouldn’t have written all that I have if it wasn’t for him.
It is my hope that I bring glory to God by using the gifts that He’s given me. Every word and idea is all from Him, and any success I may have is because of His grace and direction. I hope that through this pursuit, I can point others to Christ.
